| Local
historian, preservationist, author, teacher and volunteer, Janet Foster
is truly dedicated to her love of historic preservation. Her career
includes positions at Columbia and Drew Universities in their Historic
Preservation programs. Janet has also been a Professional Member for
the Architectural Review Board at Sherwood Farms in Greenwich, CT,
Design Review Coordinator and Construction Manager for Hartley Farms in
Harding, and Co-founder and Partner in Acroterion LLC, Historic
Preservation Consultants in Morristown. Janet's volunteer work includes serving on the boards of the Morris County Historic Preservation and Open Space Trust Fund, the Madison Historic Preservation Commission, and the Trustees of the Hartley Dodge Memorial. Through the years she has been a supportive friend of METC, and she has spent countless hours sharing her knowledge of historic preservation with others. She has made a lasting difference in the future of our local history. We are proud to honor Janet Foster as our Craftsman of the Year 2013. |
