Holly Walk at METC

December 3, 2017 from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm

Holly Walk 2017

The Museum of Early Trades & Crafts (METC) is pleased to partner with the Morris County Tourism Bureau for Holly Walk 2017. This long-standing Morris County tradition offers visitors the opportunity to visit six local historic sites decorated for the holidays, with one admission ticket, over two days. Participating sites are Acorn Hall, Macculloch Hall, the Ford Mansion, the Museum of Early Trades & Crafts, the Schuyler-Hamilton House, and the Stickley Museum at Craftman Farms.

KP_Logo 1The festive holiday decor will include a historic sleigh from the Morris County Parks Commission on the Museum’s front lawn. Inside the museum will feature a Christmas tree decorated with reproduction Thomas Edison Christmas lights, along-side an original set made by Edison’s company, on loan from the Thomas Edison National Historical Park.

Mad Jazz, Madison High School’s premier vocal ensemble will perform on Saturday from 2:00pm-2:30pm, and on Sunday, Christmas Carolers will sing holiday favorites beginning at 2:30 pm.

Guests can also tour METC’s current exhibit “Spark: The Explosive and Dirty History of Light” and discover how early NJ residents lit their holiday homes with lights, lamps and early electric devices. The METC museum shop will also be open and filled with unique merchandise, so bring your holiday gift lists to support local historic sites and preservation efforts.
