Annual Dinner and Benefit: Lighting the Way

New Jersey History: Lighting the Way

unnamedJoin us for our annual dinner and benefit on Saturday, September 23, 2017. This year we are pleased to welcome special guest speaker Bart Oates, three-time Super Bowl champion, former NY Giant, and current Chairman of the New Jersey Hall of Fame. New Jersey History: Lighting the Way honors New Jersey’s prominent place in the history of artificial light and is inspired by METC’s upcoming exhibit, Spark! The Explosive and Dirty History of Light.

This special evening includes dinner catered by Chef Rob Ubhaus of Redux; wines by Gary’s Wine & Marketplace; cocktail hour entertainment by pianist and well-known jazz musician Jerry Vezza; a silent auction, 50/50 raffle, and a special Giving Auction.

Giving from the Heart: the Giving Auction, led by guest auctioneer Mayor Robert H. Conley, provides an opportunity for guests guests to give directly to schools or organizations close to their heart. This live auction raises scholarships for schools, senior groups, urban school districts, and special needs organizations to experience one of METC’s creative and engaging museum programs. Last year’s Giving Auction provided scholarships to over 17 organizations that participated in 22 programs.

Tickets to Lighting the Way are are $125 per person and available HERE!
