Drop In Craft: Leather Stamping

Join an METC educator on August 29,  in exploring the art of leather stamping! Stop by any time between 11:00 and 3:30pm to stamp and decorate your own leather ornament or accessory. Suitable for all ages.

Toddler Program: New Jersey Animals From Past to Present

Description: Join one of METC’s educators as we explore the animals that roamed New Jersey 200 years ago and today! Each class will feature a different animal native to New Jersey, with related crafts and stories.

Age: Age 2-4

Cost:  $10 per child per class; $8 for members

Classes will run for about 45 minutes.

Parents/guardians should plan to stay with their child during the class

The Art of Cursive Handwriting

Saturdays Oct. 26, November 2 & November 9, 2019, 10:30am-12:00pm

Benjamin Franklin said, “Either write something worth reading or do something worth writing.” Let’s explore the art of cursive writing at the Museum of Early Trades & Crafts with an introduction to the basics of penmanship using the Zaner-Bloser method. This three-class session will expose participants to letter size, slant, shape, and spacing, culminating in the creation of a personal style and signature.

Cost: $40

Teddy Bear Picnic

Celebrate National Teddy Bear Day at METC on Wednesday, November 13 from 4-5pm. Children are invited to bring their favorite stuffed friend to gather and hear teddy bear stories, make a craft, and enjoy treats.
